Authority to Bid Settings

Use PDF upload or digital signing for Authority to Bid

The Authority to Bid workflow lets your agency manage how buyers authorise another person to bid on their behalf. You can use your own PDF form or manage the process electronically through Auctions Live.

Enable the Authority to Bid Workflow

Step 1: Log in to the PC Console.

Step 2: Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: The System Settings page will open.

Step 4: Select the Authority to Bid tab.

Step 5: Choose your preferred Authority to Bid workflow. Select Upload PDF to upload your own Authority to Bid form, or select Electronically Managed to use the Auctions Live electronic workflow:

Step 5a: If you select Upload PDF, upload your custom Authority to Bid form in PDF format.

OR

Step 5b: If you select Electronically Managed, read and acknowledge the disclaimer, enter your Authority to Bid Terms and Conditions, then configure the Buyer Document Upload Settings.

Ensure at least one identity document is enabled and marked as required. Accepted document examples may include government-issued photo ID, proof of address, company documents, a current ASIC extract, or Power of Attorney documentation.

Step 6: Click the green Update button to save your changes.

Helpful Tip

Before enabling the Electronically Managed option, check that the workflow and Authority to Bid wording meet the legal requirements in your country, state, or territory.
