What Features Should Real Estate Auction Software Include?

Auctions Live / Feature guide

Choose features your team will use.

The auction software features you need depend on how your agency runs its auctions. Start with property setup, bidder management, auction controls and records. Then add the tools needed for online bidders, streaming or multi-lot events.

Core tools Manage properties, bidders and records.
Format-specific tools Match tools to the auctions you run.
Connected systems Check your website and CRM connections.

The short version

Which real estate auction software features matter most?

Look for clear property setup, bidder registration, controls for your auction format and records your staff can retrieve. Online bidding, livestreaming, presentation tools and CRM connections matter when your agency uses them. A useful feature solves a specific task. A longer feature list does not mean a better fit for your office.

01 / CORE FEATURES

What should the core tools let staff do?

Auction software for real estate agents should make these everyday tasks clear. Check the steps staff must take, not just whether the feature name appears in a brochure.

  • Property setupAdd and update listings, set the auction date and assign the correct format. Changes should be easy to check before buyers see them.
  • Bidder managementCollect registration details, review approvals and find bidder information during the event. Check the process for each participation method your agency accepts.
  • Auction controlsGive the operator clear controls for bids and auction status. For an auctioneer-led event, staff need to see online activity while the auctioneer calls the sale.
  • Records and reportingFind the bidder list, bid history and result after the auction. Check which records can be exported and who can access them.

02 / MATCH THE AUCTION FORMAT

Which extra features does your agency need?

Choose a property auction platform around the auctions you actually run. These tools become priorities when the matching task is part of your work.

Match the feature to the task
Your agency needs to Feature to look for Detail to check

03 / STREAMING AND PRESENTATIONS

What should you check beyond the feature name?

For livestreaming, test clear sound, picture quality and buffering on a bidder’s device. Check latency, which is the delay between the auctioneer and viewer. Test the bidder stream separately from the public website stream. A good picture alone does not tell you whether the delay suits live bidding.

Ask where recordings are stored, how staff download a copy and what file quality they receive. Also check how the completed auction and replay appear on your website, including any steps staff must complete.

For Multi-Lot/In-Room events, look for editable presentations and an order of sale that staff can update. Auctions Live’s Prezo Studio lets teams create custom branded templates and layouts. Check that property details and text are readable on the venue screens.

04 / AUCTIONS LIVE

Which of these tools does Auctions Live provide?

The Auctions Live solution for offices and branches includes bidder registration, online bidding, auctioneer controls, website streaming and auction records. It also supports listing imports from supported CRMs. Streamed auctions are recorded to the agency’s YouTube Live channel by default. Confirm the tools and services included in your setup.

A real estate auction system also needs staff who know how to use it. Ask about training and auction-day support. For broader advice on choosing auction management software, read the digital auction platform buying guide.
